Shake, Rattle and Roll day for pupils of Minster Primary School

Youngsters showed off their musical skills at a percussion workshop.

Minster Primary School hosted Shake Rattle and Roll, a percussion extravaganza which tours schools around the country.

Shake, Rattle and Roll gives children the chance to experience percussion music from around the world by performing a show and then taking them through percussion workshops.

After performing a show to key stage two pupils at the school, they spent the rest of the day putting on workshops where children played with different instruments and learn rhythms.

Angela Morley, music teacher at the school, said: “The children loved the show because they performed some comedy and dressed up.

“It was lovely, they really enjoyed it – we are hoping to have Shake, Rattle and Roll back in the summer.”

More pictures of the event will appear on this site next week
