Citroen's new supermini, the C2

JUST ahead of its official launch on September 19, Citroen has revealed prices for its new three-door supermini, the dynamic C2.

The newcomer will be available from £7,000 with a launch cashback offer of £500 on the 1.1i L and the 1.4HDi L.

The C2 is a great choice if you want to keep your insurance costs in check. It has a group one insurance rating for all 1.1i models and running costs are also great, with 70mpg possible in everyday driving for the 1.4HDi.

Both the 1.4 Furio and 1.6i 16V VTR are offered with free insurance, while the remaining models come with a £300 cashback offer. The C2 range is now cheaper than the equivalent Saxo models at their launch seven years ago, despite packing in more equipment. All models feature airbags, variable assisted power steering, remote locking and a trip computer.

The C2 also has practical features such as sliding and folding rear seats and a split tailgate.

It is also available with climate control, automatic headlamps and wipers, cruise control, heated leather seats, ABS and ESP.
