Classy city centre development

Classy city centre development

Set in the picturesque heart of Canterbury, Buttermarket House is a small development of one and two-bedroom apartments.

Formed by the careful renovation of three properties, parts of which date back to the 15th century, Buttermarket House is on the corner of Burgate and Mercery Lane and is named after the city’s historic Butter Market.

The five new properties have retained character features including exposed beams, wood joints and sash windows and are close to shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as being nearby to both of Canterbury’s train stations.

Each apartment has a video entry system, state-of-the-art heating and hot water system and a designer kitchen with appliances included. Some have an outdoor terrace.

The bathrooms have Victorian style furniture with roll top baths and Fired Earth tiling.

Ian Hatchard, new homes business development partner at selling agent, Connells, said: “We are delighted to be marketing this fantastic collection of new homes.

“The apartments would suit downsizers, commuters and young professionals and there is a show apartment available to view.” Prices start from £180,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.

The developer is Park Construction Solutions. Ring Connells on 01227 764720.
