Several players were heading to see Gillingham physio Gary Hemens on Monday after a bruising encounter at Cheltenham.

Three of the back-four finished the game at Whaddon Road with knocks - Leon Legge, pictured, Matt Fish and Joe Martin.

Charlie Lee hobbled off injured, while fellow midfielder Bradley Dack also took a blow.

The Gills were down to 17 senior fit players for the trip and could be even shorter this weekend when they attempt to lift the League 2 title when AFC Wimbledon visit Priestfield.

Boss Martin Allen said: “We will continue to do what we’ve been doing all season, preparing the players, helping them and supporting them, guiding them and looking after them.”
