COMEDIAN and writer Chris Langham was in court this morning accused of 15 charges of making indecent images of children from the internet.

The 57-year-old, from Cranbrook, near Tunbridge Wells, appeared before magistrates in Sevenoaks and spoke only to confirm his name, address, and that he understood the charges.

The case was adjourned while further forensic tests are carried out. These are expected to take around four weeks.

Mr Langham, who has made frequent television appearances since 1969 and won a Bafta award for his latest show, In The Thick Of It, is due back in court on Wednesday, June 28.

He remains on bail.
