71-year-old Peter Phillips went missing from his home in Hythe

Concern is growing for an elderly man missing since last week.

Peter Phillips, 71, has not been heard from since he spoke to his step-daughter from his home in Palm Beach Avenue, Hythe last Thursday. He appeared to be in good spirits.

Police believe he left home without his wallet, but may have his Freedom bus pass, allowing him to travel around Kent.

Officers have searched places where Mr Phillips likes to go, but are growing concerned for his welfare due to the current cold snap.

It's believed Mr Phillips may be wearing a tan sheepskin coat and grey flat cap. He's 5 foot 10 with grey short hair.
