Bosses at Bellway Homes say buyers from six different overseas countries have boosted sales of apartments at the Old Tannery, in the centre of Canterbury.

Half an hour from the Channel Tunnel, the one and two-bedroom apartments have already attracted second home buyers from Greece, Italy, Sweden, Germany, France and Belgium.

Peter Knights, sales director at Bellway Homes, said: "It’s not surprising that people from mainland Europe are keen to buy at the Old Tannery.

"Not only is Canterbury conveniently situated, but there are also excellent transport links to London and the rest of the UK.”

Prices for one-bedroom apartments at The Old Tannery start at £179,995 and for a two-bedroom apartment from £259,995.
