Cute lambs give winter the chop

Spring has well and truly sprung in Kent - as these cute little newborn lambs show.

They were snapped enjoying the sun with their mum in a field off the A21 just outside Hadlow, near Hadlow College.

But - despite today's bright weather - it looks like a slight chill will stay in the air this week.

Kent weather expert Shaun Maltby, who runs kent-weather.co.uk, said: "For Monday it is looking to be a beautiful, clear sunny day.

"It should quite pleasant in the sunshine and out of the persistent light easterly breeze.

"Highs are expected to top out around 8C.

"For the evening and overnight expect another very cold night with frost to greet Kent by Tuesday morning. "This cold theme does look to want to continue through the week and brings the likelihood of snow to Scotland from Wednesday.

"There is some debate as to how far south this wintry weather can reach. Needless to say it's being watched whatever the weather for Kent."
