Cyclist, 22, seriously injured in suspected hit-and-run in Canterbury

A cyclist was left unconscious on the pavement after a suspected hit-and-run.

The 22-year-old man was found seriously injured in Canterbury in the early-hours crash.

Kent Police now believe he was hit by a vehcle - before the driver fled - in North Lane at the junction with Station Road West.

Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service took the man, from Canterbury, to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital. He has now been released from hospital.

Police are appealing for information about the crash, which happened at about 1.45am on Sunday, July 22.

Witnesses are asked to phone PC James Hatton-Browne at Kent Police on 101, quoting reference 0722-212.
