Cyclist kicks girl, 10, in Sittingbourne

A cyclist kicked out at a 10-year-old girl as he rode on the pavement.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the unprovoked attack in Sittingbourne High Street.

The girl was was attacked as she walked along the High Street by M&Co between 4pm and 4.25pm on Monday.

Investigating officer PC Nadia Asif, from Sittingbourne Police Station, said: "A man and a woman were riding their bikes along the pavement, forcing pedestrians to move out of their way.

"As they rode past the 10-year-old girl the man kicked out at her, causing reddening and grazing to her lower left leg.

"This was an unprovoked attack and I am keen to trace the offenders."

Witnesses should contact Sittingbourne Police Station on 01795 419182 quoting crime number CY/014610/10 or Kent Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.

The man is described as white, aged about 25, with dark brown hair.
