Cyclist killed in crash with lorry is named

A CYCLIST who died when he was in collsion with a lorry on the the A249 at Stockbury, near Sittingbourne, has been named by Kent Police.

He was 79-year-old Peter Hughes, of Long Catlis Road, Parkwood, Rainham.

The collision happened on Tuesday, October 31, at the junction of Church Hill and South Green at abound 9.30am.

Witnesses are asked to contact Kent Police on 01622 798538.
