Kent basked in the hottest temperatures of the year this weekend... with daytrippers heading for the beaches in their droves.

In fact, only Andy Murray kept people indoors, as he fought his nail-biting Wimbledon final match against Novak Djokovic ... and fans sneaked indoors to get updates.

Others dug out the buckets and spades and headed to our shores for an ice cream, and looked for shade in parks and woodland.

Thermometers nudged the high 20s as the sun factor was slapped on across the county.

And we're set for more of the hot stuff... today's maximum is 29C, with the sun cooling down about mid-week, before ratcheting up again towards the weekend.
