'Death threats' suspect arrested

A 23-year-old man wanted by Polish police on suspicion of making death threats is facing deportation after being arrested in a dawn raid in Bromley.

Polish national Daniel Bankowski will be extradited to the country after he was arrested in a special Met operation in Downham Way, on Tuesday.

A European warrant had been issued for Bankowski who is wanted in connection with assault, criminal damage and threatening the life of a witness. He was found sharing a small room with his parents.

It was part of a London-wide operation run by the Met’s Extradition Unit, which saw 21 other people arrested - people wanted abroad in connection with a range of offences including rape, kidnap, fraud and robbery.
