Commuters on their way to work along the M2 this morning were delayed after a lane was shut when a car overturned.

Queues developed after the blue Vauxhall Corsa flipped over between Junction 5 for Sittingbourne and Junction 6 for Faversham at 7.40am.

The driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene by ambulance crews.

A good samaritan who had seen the accident also stopped to give the driver first aid before the ambulance arrived.
