The South East England Development Agency, (SEEDA), is set to make around 90 redundancies, because of a multi-million pound budget shortfall.

The government-backed quango is a responsible for the redevelopment of Chatham Maritime and is based in grounds of the former Royal Navy dockyard. It is said to have a budget shortfall of about £50million.

The agency represents the counties of Kent, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Surrey and East and West Sussex.
