POLICE are appealing for information after a dog was stolen outside a Kent supermarket.

Tobi, a distinctive black and white Suluki, was tied up with three other dogs outside Tesco in Canterbury Road, Hawkinge, near Folkestone, when he was stolen between 9pm and 10.15pm on Monday night.

His owner, Julie Cook, 47, says she is particularly concerned as Tobi is a rescue dog and suffers from a heart condition.

She stressed: "I want him back so badly. He is such a nervous dog. He doesn't like strangers. "Any help I can get would be brilliant."

Anyone with information about the theft of Tobi is asked to call 01303 850055 or alternatively Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Your anonymity is guaranteed.
