Dog walker finds body in woods

A dog walker sparked a police investigation after finding a body hanging from a tree in woods close to a Kent school.

The gruesome find was made at 4.15pm on Monday close to Kingfisher Primary School, in Kingfisher Drive, Princes Park, Chatham.

It is believed the dead man was from the Chatham area and in his early 30s.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "A man's body was found in woods on Monday afternoon by a dog walker.

"He checked to see if the man had a pulse and called the police. Officers called in crime scene investigators and help from Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

"The body was taken down and there were found to be no suspicious circumstances."
