A CAR ploughed into a hedge early today in an incident on the Staplehurst Road between Marden and Staplehurst.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene just before 7.30am and the male driver taken to Maidstone Hospital. He was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Police are uncertain of the cause of the incident but no other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
