Driving ban for Gillingham soccer star

GILLINGHAM Football Club striker Marlon King has lost his licence for drink-driving. King, 21, pleaded guilty at Camberwell Green magistrates' court to driving with excess alcohol and without insurance.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £450. In addition, he was fined £200 and had his licence endorsed for driving without insurance. He was ordered to pay £40 costs.
King, who lives in Peckham, was also commmitted for trial to the Inner London Crown Court accused of causing actual bodily harm to a plain clothes police officer. He was bailed to appear on February 13.
