A routine stop check led to eight arrests and the seizure of imitation firearms, cash and a supply of suspected illegal drugs.

Officers seized what they believe to be class C drugs and arrested four men from Paddock Wood after stopping a car just off Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood at 4.40pm, on Friday.

Further investigations lead to the arrest of four more men, also from Paddock Wood, and further confiscations.

A 19-year-old was later cautioned for possession of a class C drug and a 19-year-old was cautioned for possession of an offensive weapon.
