EIGHT people were slightly injured when a bus hit a railway bridge at Chestfield, near Whitstable, on Sunday afternoon.

The bus was operated by the Kingsferry company and was believed to be taking rail passengers between stations affected by weekend engineering work.

The bus lost its entire roof in the accident.
