Employee hit with handgun in robbery bid

Two of the would-be robbers captured on CCTV entering the premises

FOUR men entered a gift shop in Kent and threatened a male member of staff with a handgun as they demanded money.

The employee at the Arcade at High Street, Dymchurch, was then hit over the head with the gun which caused a minor injury.

The men left empty-handed through the back of the shop and walked off in the direction of Hythe. The incident happened at about 5.30am on Tuesday.

All four men were wearing dark clothing. Two of the them were wearing balaclavas, the other two were wearing hoodies.

Detectives are appealing for people who were in the Dymchurch area at the time to get in touch if they saw anything suspicious.
