Fake policemen hunted in connection with Birchington burglary

E-fits of robbery suspects

These two fake policeman are being hunted in connection with a burglary.

E-fits of the suspects were released today after a woman aged in her 50s had her home raided.

The incident happened at around 7pm on April 30 when two men wearing police or security guard uniforms called at the property in Birchington.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "It is reported that after the woman answered the door they forced entry to her house and stole cash, a handbag and a DVD player.

"One of the suspects is described as being white, aged between 20 and 30-years-old, of slim build and 5ft 11in tall, he had dark brown short hair.

"The other man is said to be white, aged between 20 and 30-years-old, of stocky build with short dark brown hair.

"We advising people to use their security chains and door viewers when answering the door."
