Father killed in A2 tragedy is named

VICTIM: Terry Palmer had been married for 41 years

A CAR driver who died in a crash at the Three Crutches Interchange of the A2 near Strood has been identified.

He was 63-year-old Terry Palmer, a father-of-three, and a grandfather, of Crockenhall Way, Istead Rise, near Gravesend.

Mr Palmer, an electrician, died on Friday, March 23, during the rush hour while travelling home from the Medway area.

It is thought that Mr Palmer may have had a heart attack before his vehicle was in collision with a van. He also leaves a widow, Margaret. The couple had been married 41 years.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Kent Police's serious collision investigation unit's appeal line on 01622 798537.
