Fire crews tackled a blaze at a disused school in Borstal yesterday afternoon.

In August it was revealed the school could become a rehabilitation centre for soldiers who have committed crimes. A key adviser behind the scheme to create Britain’s first Heroes Centre is convicted fraudster Farah Damji, who infamously blogged while on the run from prison in 2006.

There was a fire at the school in September last year when arsonists set light to rubbish inside the buildng.
