Fire crews called in after office lift drama

Two women got stuck in a lift on Wednesday morning and had to be rescued by firefighters.

The doors refused to open at about 10am at the Lloyds building, in Gillingham Business Park, Gillingham.

A crew from Medway fire station were called out to help free the women and winched the lift down to ground floor level.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service, said: “They were very grateful for our assistance.”
