A MOTORIST was trapped inside his car early today following an accident on the A228 Snodland bypass.

Fire crews from Larkfield and Halling used specialist cutting gear to release the man who was then taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be serious.

The accident, which involved a collision between two cars, took place at about 5.20am. The road was closed following the accident but was later re-opened.
