Firefighters free crash victim

A WOMAN had to be cut free from the wreckage of her car today after a two-vehicle crash at Headcorn, near Maidstone.

The accident happened in Maidstone Road just before 11am when the two cars were in collision close to the entrance of the Freshlay Ltd egg factory.

The female driver of one of the cars had to be freed by firefighters using specialist cutting equipment. She was taken to Maidstone Hospital suffering from shock. The female driver of the other car suffered whiplash in the accident.
