A STORE was damaged by fire in Penge.

Fire fighters from Beckenham were called to the Turkish supermarket in Penge High Street at 0.30am on Tuesday to put out burning cardboard boxes at the back of the store.

The shop was only slightly damaged according to firefighters.

The fire is being treated as suspected arson.
