Parts of Kent are still on flood watch today - with more rain predicted over the weekend.

But it should be less severe than in recent days, when a quarter of the average monthly rain fell in parts of Kent in just three hours overnight on Wednesday.

The Environment Agency has issued Flood Watches for the River Darent, the upper River Medway and the rivers on Sheppey.

A Met Office spokesman predicted the weather would get better towards late afternoon, with a chance of showers throughout the bank holiday weekend.
