MATT LOCK: thought to have been the passenger in the car

TWO young men killed when their car hit a tree at Teynham, near Sittingbourne, last Thursday have been named.

They were Kevin Tyler, 22, of The Knole, Faversham, and Matt Lock, also 22, from Chalkwell Road, Sittingbourne. The two friends had been on a night out.

Mr Tyler, a former pupil at Abbey School at Faversham, is thought to have been driving the Peugeot 306 involved in the crash. Flowers and messages have been left at the spot in Lower Road, Teynham, where the tragedy happened.

Peter Walker, head of the Abbey School, said: "Kevin lived life to the full. He was full of life and mischief. Certainly everybody must have sympathy with the family at this difficult time."

Mr Tyler and Mr Lock were both regulars at the Swan and Harlequin, Quay Lane, Faversham, where friends held a wake on Friday.
