Visitors to Rochester got caught up in the rhythms of dance as the High Street was filled with the sights and sounds of music and movement from around the world.

An outdoor dance day was held on Saturday as part of the Fuse festival.

Samba masters Bloco Fogo kicked-off the event at noon. The colourful and rhythmic band brought the heartbeat of Brazilian, African and Cuban music to the town centre.

They were joined by breakdance masters The Floor Crusaders, the Medway Dragon and Lion Dance Sports Association, and the Product and Senzala Capoeira School – a graceful display of the Brazilian art Capoeira, combining music, dance and martial art.

People of all ages could try out the moves themselves during a series of dance workshops at Eastgate House.
