Future of Ebbsfleet striker Michael Gash still unclear

Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish is refusing to rule out further transfer activity for striker Michael Gash.

The Fleet forward has been the subject of summer transfer bids from York, Luton and Morecambe.

An ankle injury, together with the collapse of a double £80,000 move to York with defender Darius Charles, has put transfer talk to one side.

Daish, who recommended that myfootballclub members agreed to sell the duo to York, is now planning on keeping his current squad together but warned: "You don’t know. It’s still very early in the transfer window.

"We might get another bid for them, we might not. I have to plan with them being here."

As for Gash, he is continuing to make good progress and showed no sign of any discomfort during a strenuous work-out prior to the 1-0 friendly win at Aveley on Monday.

"Gash is progressing well," added Daish. "He did a lot of running before the game and needs to get himself strong."
