The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for the county.

Motorists are being advised to take extra care on the county's roads as heavy rain is expected today.

The Met warned there could be up to 25mm of rain within three hours in some places.

Earlier today, there were delays of up to 30 minutes on the M25 between junction four, near Orpington and junction six, near Sevenoaks.

Kent Police were called to a crash at around 9.25am on the M2 London-bound carriageway just before Medway Bridge.

The collision blocked the carriageway temporarily - but the vehicles have now been moved to the hard shoulder to allow the road to be reopened. There are no reports of any injuries.

A Highways Agency spokesman said: "Motorists should allow more space when driving and slow down and take extra care."
