John Schofield

We picked up a few knocks last weekend at Cheltenham but we’ve been there to be shot at all season.

Everyone wants to have a right go at us because we are the top team in the division and that’s nothing new.

Unfortunately, we didn’t come out on top but we’ve earned the right this season to have the odd game when we don’t come away with a point.

We came back in this week with another exciting game to look forward to against AFC Wimbledon, a side battling at the other end of the table.

This year is probably going to be the highest points tally achieved by a team that has not stayed in the division.

It was a close game at Cheltenham and we played well at times and kept going.

Do we want to pick up maximum points all of the time? Yes, we do, so from that point of view, it’s disappointing but for the effort and commitment from the lads, it was a great show.

One thing for sure, we will be in League 1 next season. That’s the goal we set out to achieve and now we are looking to put the icing on the cake.
