We've got five games coming up in just 15 days but our lads are in top condition.

We’ve got matches against York, Barnet, Northampton, Southend and Bristol Rovers and need to make sure we are the best team we can be in every game and prepare the best we can.

There won’t be a lot of time for preparation. It’s just about recovery and ticking over and a lot of it will be back to recycling the work we did in pre-season.

We make the trip to York this weekend and they have found out just how tough League 2 is this season. But we have seen that one team can beat any other on a given day.

The players will have Christmas Day off this year and we trust them to look after themselves. The good thing is that turkey is quite a good part of your diet. It’s good lean, white meat.

It’s just those bits and pieces that go with it, things like the savouries, that the players will have to be careful about.

But the lads know what to eat and they won’t just be hungry for turkey this Christmas, they’ll be hungry for the three points on the pitch.
