Gillngham midfield pair Charlie Allen and Andy Frampton are available again for Tuesday’s visit of Oxford.

Frampton, pictured, missed the trip to Chesterfield on Saturday following a blow to the head the week before and Allen has been absent since fracturing his hand two games ago.

Gills boss Martin Allen said: “Andy was still not quite right (for the weekend) but is much better now. He may be available and Charlie will be."

Also closing in on a return is Danny Kedwell, whose hamstring injury is not as bad as first thought. But Allen, speaking before the weekend, warned of the risks of bringing Kedwell back too early.

Allen said: “If you come back too quick then the length of time to come back is even worse by another two weeks so we have to be patient.”

Allen could hand youngster Bradley Dack a surprise start, after admitting he was close to doing just that on Saturday. He said: “On Tuesday he scored a hat-trick (in a development game) and was unlucky not to start on Saturday."

Matt Fish is a doubt after turning his ankle at Chesterfield.
