Andy Hessenthaler has admitted that he may start to change his team on a weekly basis in a bid to cure their dreadful away form.

Gillingham are back at home on Saturday when they host Stockport before visiting Port Vale the following week.

While Gills boss Hessenthaler ideally wants to name a settled starting line-up, he knows that he may need to alter Gillingham's set-up away from home in a bid to end their winless run of 32 away games.

"The team that plays this Saturday might not be the same one that plays at Port Vale in our next away game," revealed Hessenthaler, pictured.

"We'll be looking at certain individuals to play a certain way away from home - we may make changes."

Reflecting on Gillingham's dramatic 7-4 defeat at Accrington, which came hot on the heels of the 5-4 loss at Bury in September, Hessenthaler admitted; "It can't happen again.

"Something wasn't right. We've looked at the DVD and it was down to us as individuals and as a group.

"We've highlighted certain things and hope that we learn from it.

"We've got to deal with it - which is what we did on Sunday and Monday - and now we've got to put it right. There's no point burying our heads in the sand."
