Confident Gills boss Mark Stimson

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson knows that the pressure will be on this weekend as his team host lowly Wycombe at Priestfield.

The Gills have picked up just one point from their last three League 1 matches, after facing three top sides, and he’ll know expectations will be high on Saturday against one of the division’s lesser sides.

Stimson (pictured) said: "It’s Wycombe at home and we should be going out to get the three points.

"Wycombe last year got automatic promotion. This year they haven’t started as well as they would have liked and we are around each other at that end of the table. It’s important we try and keep our home form going and take the game to them."

He added: "If we can play like we did against Norwich at home (in the league), then we will be fine.

"If we can create those chances again then I’m sure that should be enough to win the game."
