Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler losing patience with players as poor run continues

Andy Hessenthaler has warned his under performing players that they have one last chance to get things right.

The Gillingham boss will shake things up unless they end their run of poor performances with a result at second-from-bottom Hereford on Saturday.

Gills are without a win or a goal from open play in their last four League 2 outings and Hessenthaler (pictured) has lost patience.

He said: "If it doesn’t happen this weekend, then we are going to have to start thinking about changing things around.

"Everyone wants to play. You get players knocking on your door when they are not playing but when they do get their opportunity they need to take it.

"I don’t think a couple of players have done that. We have a squad of players here that should be dealing with it and doing better."

Hessenthaler will be forced into at least one change this weekend after Matt Lawrence suffered concussion in the 1-0 midweek defeat at Southend.

He will be replaced by fit-again Andy Frampton.

Danny Spiller is a doubt with an ankle injury and Curtis Weston (thigh) is also unlikely to feature. Jack Payne (knee) is still several weeks away from returning.

What would you do to turn things around? Have your say below.
