Gillingham have released four development squad players.
Alex Brown, Tom Brunt, Jack Evans (pictured) and George Humber have been handed free transfers.
Boss Martin Allen felt their first-team opportunities at Priestfield would have been limited and wants them to get regular football.
He said: "Tom Brunt was superb a couple of weeks ago when we beat Millwall Reserves 3-2 and he scored two goals from central midfield.
"It was a very difficult decision but I feel it is best for Tom to make a move now into regular men’s football.
"Alex Brown has been unlucky with injuries and has been totally dedicated and a very good professional footballer.
"At Jack’s age he needs to play regular football, especially after doing so well last year for the first team."
