Stanley Aborah has left Gillingham after manager Andy Hessenthaler opted against renewing his short-term deal.

The Belgian midfielder was in the stands to watch the Gills’ lose at Accrington and has seen very action since signing in the summer.

Aborah, a former Ajax player, joined the Gills on a one-month contract following an impressive pre-season showing.

Injury meant he was unable to make an apeparance during that first month but Hessenthaler extended it for a further four weeks.

A brief substitute appearance in the 1-0 defeat at Bradford was Aborah’s only showing, however, and he is now a free agent.

Were Gillingham right to release Aborah? Comment below.
