Gillingham unveiled their new main sponsors and playing kit on Thursday night.

Newcastle-based company Automatic Retailing have taken over as kit sponsors from krbs on a one year deal.

The split with krbs was an “amicable” one according to chairman Paul Scally.

Their brand will no longer be associated with the club stadium, with the name reverting back to the Priestfield Stadium.

New signings Stefan Payne (pictured right, wearing the away kit) and Andy White joined the rest of the squad at Priestfield on Thursday night.

Around 300 corporate sponsors attended an evening in the Great Hall at Priestfield to meet the new backers and all of the playing and coaching staff.

Speaking before the evening, Mr Scally said: “We parted company with krbs amicably some weeks back and we are very pleased that Automatic Retailing were prepared to stand in at short notice.

“It came as a result of a chance meeting with their chairman and owner in Dubai, who is actually a Newcastle fan, and has followed the Gills from afar through family members. I asked Neil if he was prepared to stand in as sponsor and he was.

“Krbs are staying with the club as sponsors. We are very grateful for their support over the last two or three years and we are very much looking forward to working with Automatic Retailing, who are developing their product in the South and this is naturally appropriate.”
