Grandmother killed in crash is named

A 61-year-old woman who died after a two-vehicle crash on a Kent main road has been indentified.

Carole Head, of Wrotham Water Road, Trottiscliffe, near West Malling, was killed when the silver Toyota Yaris she was driving collided with a grey Mitsubishi L200 pickup on the A20 between West Malling and Addington.

The crash happened at around 5.15pm last Thursday.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics but died from her injuries. The 41-year-old male driver of the Mitsubishi was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

An inquest into Mrs Head, a mother of four and grandmother of three, was opened and adjourned on Wednesday.
