POLICE have made a nationwide appeal in connection with the disappearance of a 55-year-old woman from the Forest of Dean.

Officers say they are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Kathleen Prout, known as Kate.

She has not been seen since she left her home address in Redmarley on Monday, November 5.

Mrs Prout is white, 5ft 6 tall and of medium build. She is described as having a pale complexion, green eyes and, at least at the time of her disappearance, brown hair, although it has previously been red.

When last seen she was wearing jeans and a black v-neck top.

Members of the public are being urged to assist in the search by reporting any sightings of her straight away.
