Yellow warning issued for Kent by Met Office as heavy rain expected

Heavy rain is expected to hit Kent this week.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for the county for Tuesday and says travel disruption is likely.

Forecasters say the heaviest showers are due to be in the morning, with about 20 to 40mm of rain expected to fall quite widely.

Up to 70mm of rain could fall, however.

Bus and train services could be affected and flooding on roads may increase journey times.
