Heavy rain set to continue in Kent

Heavy downpours are expected to continue throughout Kent this week.

The county is set for another stormy and wet couple of days, before clearing up heading into the weekend.

The Met Office warns that the weather conditions could bring a chance of some flooding and disruption, with people being urged to take care when travelling.

Storms are expected to carry on until the weekend, which should remain dry, with temperatures around 21C.

Paul Gundersen, Met Office chief forecaster said: “The influence of low pressure - with associated thunderstorms and bouts of heavy rain - will continue to dominate this week, especially on Friday.

"Though the low pressure will finally move eastwards on Saturday, meaning that many will have a dry day with some sunshine."
