The Linton house type, one of the homes being built at Leigh, near Sevenoaks.

Five homes have already been reserved and prices for remaining homes range from £375,000 to £595,000.

Jo Richards, of Hillreed Homes said: “When planning was granted for 13 homes in Leigh we appreciated that as planning in such an historic location is carefully limited, the demand would be high. This has certainly proved to be the case.”

The village has local shops, village green and primary school. There’s also easy access to the A21 linking with the M25.

Hillreed Homes is offering the Help to Buy Scheme at this and all its developments, on properties up to £600,000.

This is a scheme which enables buyers to purchase a new property with the help of a government 20% equity loan. The buyer must secure a repayment based mortgage, from selected lenders, together with a deposit of only 5%.

The equity loan must be repaid after 25 years or earlier if you sell your home. The first five years are interest free after which it is at a fixed low rate.
