Magicians, an EastEnders’ star and a Michael Jackson impersonator helped celebrate the 30th birthday of Central Beach leisure centre.

Central Beach put on a packed schedule of live entertainment, game shows and buffet food over the weekend at its clubhouse on Grove Avenue, Leysdown.

Other attractions included karaoke, 'Jay’ from EastEnders, a pool party and a hog roast.

Music was provided by reggae singer Frankie Baby and band Triple D, while children had the option of face painting, magic tricks, or kids’ entertainer Charlie.

Central Beach manageress Karen Jeffreys said: “The kids really enjoyed it. There’s always something going on at the club on the weekend.”

Similar programmes of events are planned at Central Beach for the weekends of August 4 and August 25. Call 01795 510308 for details.
