Honda unveils full 2012 range details

Honda has released full details of its 2012 line-up, including seven new models and six upgraded ones, with the expansion of dual clutch technology.

New to dealerships will be the Crosstourer, which was announced recently as a direct competitor for bikes like Triumph's Tiger 1050 and BMW's ever-popular 1200cc GS adventure tourer.

Using the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) first seen on the VFR1200F, the Crosstourer aims to be the easiest bike in the class to enjoy.

Joining the Crosstourer will be the Integra - no, not the high-revving and all-round fantastic old car of the same name, but a 670cc motorcycle-scooter cross, promising a more dynamic ride than most scooters give, but with the increased comfort of a scooter. It also has Honda's DCT as standard.

That same technology has migrated to the new NC700S and NC700X. Essentially much the same bike, the S has naked styling and an emphasis on commuting, while the X has a more upright seating position and `crossover' style. It remains to be seen whether that means it'll look like a Nissan Qashqai.

A Vision 50 has been added to the ranks of Honda's scooters to compliment the Vision 110, which was announced earlier this year. The Wave 110i is also new, boasting heritage stretching back to the 60-million selling Super Cub.

On top of these new releases, the Fireblade, VFR1200F, Goldwing, CR125R, 250R and 450R have all received updates and upgrades for 2012. A total of 16 other models have only been given fresh paint or graphics this time.
